Courtney Iantosca, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker whom received her graduate degree from Rutgers University. She has over 8 years of dedicated experience in supporting diverse populations through various life challenges. Courtney has served as a therapist and program director for Functional Family Therapy, an evidenced based treatment model working with at-risk adolescents and their families. She is devoted in her efforts to support and work with children and adolescents whom have experienced trauma and life altering events, specializing in evidenced based Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Courtney understands the impact trauma has on one’s functioning and believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through these difficulties and challenges.
Throughout her professional journey, Courtney has skillfully navigated a variety of psychological challenges, helping clients struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger management, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, and suicidality/self-injurious behaviors.
Courtney believes in a client centered approach, understanding that therapy can be overwhelming and a huge step forward for some. She is passionate about empowering clients to choose their path and customizes her approach to meet clients where they are and match to their unique strengths. Courtney’s therapeutic practice draws from various theories and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, family systems therapy, and functional family therapy.
