Grief is a natural response to loss, yet it can feel overwhelming and isolating. Our therapists provide a compassionate space where individuals can process the pain of loss at their own pace. Therapy focuses on acknowledging emotions, developing coping strategies, and finding meaning after change. We recognize that grief may look different for everyone—whether it is sudden, anticipated, or tied to life transitions. Clients are supported as they move through denial, anger, sadness, and acceptance. Over time, therapy helps individuals find

resilience and the ability to honor their loss while rebuilding a fulfilling life.

Trauma can leave lasting emotional and physical effects that

disrupt daily life. Our trauma-informed clinicians use specialized approaches to help individuals process and heal from difficult experiences. Therapy may involve techniques such as CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness to reduce symptoms of PTSD and anxiety. We create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered and in control. Over time, individuals build resilience and regain a sense of safety and stability. Healing from trauma is a journey, and we walk alongside our clients every step of the way.

Early childhood is a critical period for emotional and social development. Our clinicians use play therapy and early intervention strategies to help preschool-age children express themselves. Sessions may focus on behavior regulation, separation anxiety, or early signs of developmental concerns. Parent involvement is encouraged to reinforce progress at home. Therapy helps children build skills for emotional resilience and healthy relationships. With early support, children are better prepared for success in school and beyond.

Parent Management Training is designed to equip parents with practical tools to handle challenging behaviors in children. This evidence-based approach teaches strategies such as consistent discipline, positive reinforcement, and effective communication. Sessions help parents understand the underlying causes of behaviors and how to respond constructively. By practicing new techniques,

families often see reduced conflict and improved relationships. Parents gain confidence in their ability to guide their children toward healthier choices. Over time, these changes promote long-term emotional and behavioral stability for the whole family.

We recognize the resilience and strength within LGBTQ+ communities and honor each person’s unique journey. Sessions emphasize empowerment,

authenticity, and emotional well-being. Our goal is to ensure every client feels seen, respected, and supported.

Families are complex systems where struggles in one area

often affect everyone. Family therapy focuses on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and building stronger connections. Sessions may include parents, children, or extended family members depending on the issues at hand. Our clinicians create a safe space where each voice is heard and valued. We help families identify patterns that contribute to stress and replace them with healthier dynamics. The goal is not only to solve immediate problems but to

strengthen the family’s ability to handle future challenges together.

EMDR is a specialized therapy for trauma and distressing life experiences. It uses guided eye movements and structured protocols to help individuals reprocess painful memories. This reduces the emotional intensity of past experiences and promotes healing. EMDR is supported by extensive research and is particularly effective for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our clinicians provide EMDR in a safe, supportive environment where clients feel grounded and in control. Over time, clients experience reduced distress, greater resilience, and the ability to move forward more freely.

Relationships can face challenges related to communication, trust, intimacy, or life stressors. Couples therapy provides a safe space for both partners to be heard and understood. Our therapists help couples recognize destructive patterns and replace them with healthier interactions. Sessions often focus on improving communication, conflict resolution, and rebuilding emotional connection.

Whether partners are addressing long-standing issues or navigating a new challenge, therapy can provide clarity and healing. The goal is to create stronger, more resilient partnerships built on respect and understanding.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most widely studied and effective forms of psychotherapy. It works by identifying unhelpful

thought patterns and replacing them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. CBT is highly structured and goal-oriented, making it effective for issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress. Clients learn practical skills they can apply immediately in daily life. Over time, these skills help reduce symptoms, improve coping, and prevent relapse. Our clinicians tailor CBT to each person’s needs, ensuring therapy feels both relevant and empowering.

ADHD affects children and adults alike, often causing struggles with attention, organization, and impulse control. At Eastern Psychiatric, we conduct comprehensive evaluations to accurately identify ADHD symptoms and rule out other conditions. Treatment may include therapy, behavioral strategies, parent guidance, and, when appropriate, medication management. We focus on building

practical tools such as time management skills, organizational techniques, and coping mechanisms for stress. Children benefit from interventions that improve school success and family relationships. Adults learn strategies to enhance productivity, career performance, and personal well-being. With the right support, individuals with ADHD can thrive and reach their full potential.

Uncontrolled anger can strain relationships, interfere with school or work, and harm overall well-being. Our anger management therapy helps clients recognize their triggers and understand the emotions underlying their reactions. Through structured exercises, clients learn to manage impulses and practice healthier forms of expression. Therapy emphasizes communication skills, problem-solving, and

mindfulness techniques. We work to replace destructive patterns with

constructive behaviors that lead to more positive outcomes. Over time, clients experience improved relationships and a greater sense of control over their emotions.

Adolescence is a time of growth, transition, and challenges that can impact both teens and their families. Common issues include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity exploration, and academic stress. Our therapists specialize in connecting with adolescents in a way that is respectful, supportive, and engaging. Sessions may focus on emotional regulation, problem-solving, and communication skills to improve overall functioning. Parents are included as appropriate to strengthen family understanding and collaboration. The goal of adolescent therapy is to promote resilience, healthier relationships, and a

stronger sense of identity during these formative years.
